Pittsburgh's Indy Comic Expo is back!I

The ToonSeum Announces PIX: The Second Annual Pittsburgh Indy Comics Expo
Pittsburgh, PA, 15 September 2011 – On Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, 2011,
The ToonSeum and The Copacetic Comics Company will present PIX, Pittsburgh’s
second annual exposition devoted solely to creator-owned, self-published, small-press,
and handmade comics. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
PIX will be held once again at the refurbished 10,000 square foot top floor of the Guardian
Storage facility located at 2839 Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, just outside of
downtown. The event will give Pittsburghers the opportunity to survey and sample a wide
variety of works produced by the far ranging talents of the comics artists and cartoonists
currently flourishing in the Pittsburgh region. In addition, PIX attendees can expect to
experience examples of independently produced and published, creator-owned work
from the rest of Pennsylvania, as well as New York, Illinois, Ohio and around the world.
“We received a tremendous amount of positive feedback at last year’s PIX. Exhibitors,
attendees, and even volunteers all told us they had a great time and that they hoped we
would do it again. How could we say no?” said PIX co-organizer, Bill Boichel of The
Copacetic Comics Company.
PIX will run from 10:00am to 5:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

The ToonSeum is located at 945 Liberty Avenue, downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District.
